James Way Blackstone, now aged 73, was recorded as a Master Mariner born in West Leigh (?),Devon and Sarah Blackstone his wife age 68, born in Exminster. They had a visitor Ann Cox age 82 and unmarried, described as an annuitant also born in Exminster. Was she an older sister?
James Way Blackstone age 86 of Teign Street was buried on 11 Mar 1864 in West Teignmouth
According to the burial register Sarah was 73 when she was buried and James was verified as being a Master Mariner. She was buried in an unbricked grave in consecrated ground. The Revd. J W Mason presided over the burial.
