Unnamed male child of Mary Taylor ( Entry 6 in the burial register) was buried 20th February 1856 in plot F117
There was an unmarried Mary Taylor, age 22, dressmaker, in the 1851 census living in the Strand, West Teignmouth with her parents Richard & Mary but there’s no way of being certain that she’s the right Mary, just the only one who appears in Teignmouth in that census.
According to the burial register he was buried in an unbricked grave in consecrated ground. No-one seems to have presided over the burial – would this have been the practice for the burial of a 1 day old child born of a single mother?
